Probe Faults Pilots in Deadly Air Show Crash

Pilots ignored their flight plan and attempted tricky, untried maneuvers before their fighter jet hit the runway and cartwheeled into spectators at a July air show, killing 85 people, the chief investigator said.
Yevhen Marchuk also blamed air force flight leaders for failing to order a change of course after the plane veered from the flight path.
The two pilots of the SU-27 fighter jet ejected safely. Military doctors said the pilots had recovered enough to answer investigators’ questions.
