Man Killed in Parking Incident; Teen Arrested
A 32-year-old Oxnard man was killed when a teenage girl was performing a parking maneuver in a garage about 1:30 a.m. Friday, police said.
Evarado Ramirez, who was not in a vehicle, received crushing head injuries, according to the Ventura County coroner’s office. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The 16-year-old driver, whose name was not released, fled the scene in the 500 block of East Dollie Street, police said. She was arrested at her home on suspicion of vehicular manslaughter, felony hit-and-run and driving under the influence.
Police on Friday declined to release additional details, saying the investigation is continuing.
