Both Sides Can Play the Free-Speech Game
Re “Religion Is at Center of Yearbook Battle,” Nov. 6:
I have a question for the Fountain Valley students and parents who are so concerned about their free-speech rights.
They believe that they have the right to put their religious message in the senior picture. How would they have reacted if another group of students had used their free-speech rights to spell out “Keep abortion legal” or “Always use a condom”?
Are they willing to grant the same rights that they demand?
