Man Convicted of Killing Daughter in Day Care
From Times Wire Reports
A man was found guilty of first-degree murder in Detroit in the beating death of his 3-year-old daughter during an attack at her day-care center.
The jury also convicted Bernard Kelly, 37, on two counts of assault with intent to commit murder for shooting the day-care operator and her niece, who were both critically wounded.
Prosecutors said Kelly killed his daughter because he did not want to pay child support.
