vs. Colorado, 7:30 (U.S. Open Cup)

Site -- Home Depot Center.

Radio -- 1220 (Spanish).

Records in MLS -- Galaxy 4-3-2, Rapids 4-5-0.

Update -- There are four ways of looking at tonight’s match in Carson. First, it’s a chance for the Galaxy to avenge a 4-0 drubbing by the Rapids in Colorado in the MLS season opener. Second, it’s a chance for striker Carlos Ruiz to avenge the foul and injury he suffered in that game -- an injury that sidelined him for two months -- by knocking Colorado out of the Cup. Third, it’s an opportunity for Galaxy Coach Ruud Gullit to see whether he can put together a winning team when he has neither David Beckham nor Landon Donovan available. Both are in London for Wednesday’s England-U.S. international friendly. Fourth, it’s a chance for Colorado to make it two wins out of two against the Galaxy in 2008, and end the Galaxy’s Open Cup involvement.
