The "Nightman" cometh, perhaps to a theater near you.
Danny DeVito and his costars on FX's "It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia" are taking their sitcom on the road, with a live-theater adaptation of last season's musical finale, dubbed "The Nightman Cometh."
Actor Rob McElhenney said the venture grew out of a two-night run at the Troubadour. "Live Nation heard about it and approached us and said, 'Hey, would you guys like to go on tour with this?' "
September performances are scheduled in Boston, New York, Philadelphia, Seattle and San Francisco, concluding Sept. 25 in L.A.
