Hutchins obituary: A photo caption with the obituary of violin maker Carleen Hutchins in Tuesday’s Section A implied that the Hutchins Consort no longer exists. In fact, the Southern California-based octet, which uses instruments crafted by Hutchins, is still playing and has concerts scheduled in La Jolla and Irvine during its upcoming season.
