Re “Fathers and Mothers of Ecological Action,” by Kenneth Turan, Aug. 21: I am very much applauding the efforts of director Robert Stone. In order to create a more environmentally conscious community, we need to put it out there. Films like “Earth Days” will inspire people, especially the youth, to take care of the planet and learn more about it.

As our planet continues to grow and grow, there will be a need for more conscientious individuals to take initiative and help the planet out by becoming environmentalists.
