All creatures great and small

Fashion and still-life photographer Mike Lorrig has turned his vegan convictions into art, creating a series of dramatically lighted, richly detailed portraits of barnyard creatures. Printed on canvas, the images are sufficiently sophisticated for a library and sweet enough for kids rooms. The photographs start at $200, and a portion of the proceeds will benefit the Woodstock Farm Animal Sanctuary. They’re sold at the Silver Lake store Mercado, 3517 W.
