Glimpsed at Hrabowski Celebration: Rhea Feikin

Rhea Feikin, one of those attending the recent 20th anniversary celebration for UMBC President Freeman Hrabowski, is a Baltimore classic, both as a longtime local television personality and in her style. Longevity is key for this Baltimore resident, and we're not just talking about the five decades she's been a presence on Baltimore TV.

"As I've gotten older, I've realized there's a certain look that's best for me, and it doesn't happen to be the most au courant one," says the Maryland Public Television host.

Feikin strives for a casual elegance with well-made non-fussy pieces that she then embellishes with her fashion faves -- jewelry and scarves.

HER STYLE: "I think it's kind of classic. There are lots and lots of things I keep wearing over and over again."

WHAT SHE'S WEARING: A black silk tunic top she's had for years over a pair of Peter Cohen white silk pants ¿ both from Ruth Shaw. The turquoise satin clutch caught her eye in Nordstrom. The black cashmere wrap with organza is "the only thing in my entire life that I've bought from Gump's catalog," she says.

WHERE SHE SHOPS: "I often will stop into Ruth Shaw, or go there when they call me if they think there's something I'd really like. I'm afraid I do a lot of catalog shopping: Neiman Marcus, Saks. But, I also do J. Jill and J. Crew ¿ whatever comes in my mailbox."
