Severn Savings Bank will soon deliver refreshments and donations to area nonprofits.
Starting Dec. 8, the bank will use its Severn Sleigh to travel around the county, make a donation to a nonprofit and provide coffee or donuts.
On Monday and Tuesday, the sleigh will go to the bank's Westgate and West Street branches , then make donations to Toys for Tots and the YWCA Domestic Violence Shelter Arden House.
On Wednesday, the sleigh will be in Glen Burnie to visit the Arundel House of Hope. On Thursday, it will visit the Bay Community Support Services in Edgewater. On Thursday night it will make an appearance at downtown Annapolis' Midnight Madnesss.
The week of events will end Friday, when the sleigh travels around downtown Annapolis and makes a donation to the SPCA.
"Year round, we're proud to have a small hand in bringing good things to our community," Severn Savings Bank president and chairman Alan Hyatt said in a statement. "And this holiday season, we pledge to give back to those who need it most."
