All things Harry Potter will be celebrated at Quidditch Experience, 2-3:30 p.m. Sunday, July 31 at Northbrook Public Library, 1201 Cedar Lane.
"We're excited that the next installment in the Harry Potter saga is coming out the last weekend in July," said Youth Services Manager Kelly Durov. "It coincides with the end of our Summer Reading Club so we're having a big event to celebrate both of those things."
A packed schedule is planned. "Kids will be able to experience playing Quidditch in the soccer field outside of the library," Durov reported. "We're doing homemade brooms that we're making out of pool noodles and hoops made out of hula hoops and PVC pipes."
Inside the library, there will be craft projects, a sorting hat, a Harry Potter Photo booth and a snack.
They will also be giving away five copies of "Harry Potter and the Cursed Child — Parts One & Two."
Registration is encouraged.
