Paradigm Talent Agency laid off 30 people on Friday, according to a person familiar with the situation who declined to be named. It was part of the agency’s effort to eliminate redundancies caused by its recent acquisitions in the music space, the person said.
The Gersh Agency is the latest talent agency to sign a deal with the Writers Guild of America after a long dispute with the Assn. of Talent Agents.

The salary bump comes after assistants have spoken out about their financial struggles and the verbal harassment they have faced working at talent agencies in Hollywood.
