Ben Affleck’s drama “Argo” has picked up several best picture awards this season, which makes it the front-runner for the best picture Oscar. However, Oscar nominators snubbed Affleck in the directing category, which leaves many questioning how it will fare on film’s biggest night.

“Argo” is in good company in the best picture category: “Lincoln,” “Silver Linings Playbook,” “Beasts of the Southern Wild,” “Django Unchained,” “Les Miserables,” “Life of Pi,” “Amour” and “Zero Dark Thirty” are also nominated. See the complete list of nominees here.

Last year’s big winners, Meryl Streep, Jean Dujardin, Octavia Spencer and Christopher Plummer, will return to present the acting awards. Grammy Award winners Adele, Norah Jones, Barbra Streisand and singer Shirley Bassey are slated to perform.

The show will pay tribute to the James Bond franchise, which celebrated its 50th anniversary in 2012. Plans have been made for the best picture-winning “Chicago” cast to reunite on the 10th anniversary of its win to celebrate the movie musicals of the past decade.

The eighth “Jimmy Kimmel Live: After the Oscars” will air later in the evening with Oscar winner and “Django Unchained” star Jamie Foxx and “Side Effects” actor Channing Tatum.

Last year, Kimmel’s special premiered the trailer for “Movie: The Movie,” which included several Oscar nominees. This year, the late-night host has plans to premiere the trailer for “Movie: The Movie Twovie,” which will star Bradley Cooper, Jessica Chastain, Jude Law, Salma Hayek, John Krasinski, Samuel L. Jackson and more. It promises to be “the biggest, most star-studded imaginary film of all time,” according to ABC.

“Jimmy Kimmel Live: After the Oscars” will air at 10 p.m. PST (12:05 a.m. EST) on ABC after the late local news broadcast.
