Here is how you can be on the next season of MTV’s ‘The Real World’
MTV’s “The Real World’’ is looking for new roommates.
There is a casting call 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday at Burger & Beer Joint, 900 South Miami Ave. suite 130 in Miami’s Brickell neighborhood.
The upcoming season of the reality show will stream on Facebook Watch in the spring. The new seasons will have local versions filmed in the United States, Mexico and Thailand. No word yet on exactly where in the U.S.
South Florida fans may recall when the show’s fifth season was filmed in a house on the Venetian Island’s Rivo Alto neighborhood in Miami Beach in 1996. There was also the 2005 season that was filmed in Key West during Hurricane Wilma.
Launched in 1992 as a social experiment on MTV, the show was considered ground breaking as it followed seven young strangers who lived in a house where they dealt with race, homophobia, addiction, friendships and sexuality. The late Cuban-American AIDS advocate Pedro Zamora of Hialeah appeared in the third season of the series set in San Francisco.
Interested Real Worlders must be at least 21-years-old.
