Maroon 5’s Adam Levine engaged to model Behati Prinsloo

Adam Levine is making an honest woman out of Behati Prinsloo -- the couple are engaged!

“The Voice” mentor, 34, has asked the Namibian Victoria’s Secret Angel, 24, to marry him after the pair dated on and off, even calling off their relationship last spring.

“Adam Levine and his girlfriend Behati Prinsloo are excited to announce they are engaged to be married,” Levine’s rep told People on Tuesday. “The couple recently reunited and Adam proposed this weekend in Los Angeles.”

No word on how he popped the question or on potential wedding dates, but news comes as Levine is preparing to go on tour with Maroon 5 and Kelly Clarkson from August to January. He’ll be returning to his big red chair in the fall for another season of “The Voice,” NBC’s singing competition series.

Neither Levine nor Prinsloo have directly addressed the engagement on social media, save for this tweet Wednesday morning from Levine: “Love is my religion.”

Prinsloo began dating the Maroon 5 crooner in May 2012 after Levine broke up with model Anne Vyalitsyna. He was then spotted with Sports Illustrated model Nina Agdal just last month, Us Weekly reports. Type, much?

“The Nina thing was not that serious and was not going to last,” a source told the mag. “After Adam broke up with Behati, he couldn’t stop thinking about her. He realized he really loved her and wanted to be with her.”

It will be the musician’s first marriage. Though he’s always cast his doubts on the whole establishment in the past.

“I’m extremely fascinated by marriage,” Levine told Paper Mag in May 2012. “I want to learn about it. I want to know it. I want to figure out whether or not I want to do it. I’m not just going to leap into it, because that’s not good for anybody.”

And more recently he said this...

“If you don’t get married, you can’t get divorced,” he told Nylon Guys in May 2013. “Why couldn’t we learn from the devastatingly low percentage of successful marriages that our last generation went through?”

So is it safe to say that he’s learned his fix?

The singer has also been pretty open about his penchant for beautiful women.

“There’s two kinds of men: There are men who are ... misogynist pigs, and then there are men who just really love women, who think they’re the most amazing people in the world. And that’s me,” Levine told Details magazine in June 2012.

“Maybe the reason I was promiscuous, and wanted to sleep with a lot of them, is that I love them so much.”

Here’s to saying a “Beautiful Goodbye” to those days.
