Just like Justin Bieber? Superfan drops $100,000 to resemble his idol

Is it hot in here, or does someone have a super-hot case of Justin Bieber fever?

Meet Toby Sheldon, or, as his friends call him, Toby Bieber. He’s a 33-year-old Los Angeles songwriter who has dropped about $100,000 and devoted five years to chisel himself into the image of his Canadian crooner idol Justin Bieber, who’s 14 years his junior, the British tabloid Mail Online reported.

“Once Justin shot to fame his face was everywhere and all I kept thinking when I saw his picture was, ‘I want to look like him,”’ Sheldon told the Mail Online.

The procedure began when Sheldon, who has a fear of aging, underwent hair transplants to fill out his thinning blond hair. He later underwent more surgery to lower his hairline and grow back his bangs.

Then came Botox and Aquamid injections, a chin reduction and an upper eyelid lift, the latter costing $4,850. All this to achieve what he calls Bieber’s “flawless” and “charming baby face.” Hmm, did we factor puberty in that one?

“But it took going to eight different surgeons before anyone would agree to operate on me as everyone thought I was crazy to be obsessing over such a tiny detail,” he said.

Another detail on the list, and also his most recent operation, includes three-part smile surgery. “The more I started studying Justin and young people in general, it’s really their smile that gives them their youthful glow,” Sheldon said.

As with any operation, Sheldon had to deal with the pain afterward. He said his smile took more than a month’s recovery time and his eyelids, a week. Looks as if someone has a lot of time on his hands.

But for Sheldon, the motto appears to be no pain, no gain.

“Between our similar hairstyles, baby-faced smile and overall youthful appearance, I finally look like Justin Bieber and I couldn’t be happier about it,” he said.
