John Mayer and Katy Perry are going all Sonny and Cher on us with their latest collaboration: a song called “Who You Love,” in which the two are actually super sweet and lovey-dovey about their relationship.

The singers, who started dating on and off six months after Perry and comedian Russell Brand divorced in 2012, revealed that they’d be working together on Mayer’s upcoming sixth studio album, “Paradise Valley,” set for an Aug. 20 release.

And now, we have this: Proof in the form of a sweet slow tune in which her “broken bird” professes his love and makes it sound as if his bachelor days are over.

Sigh...

Here’s Mayer’s part:

“My girl, she ain’t the one that I saw coming / Sometimes I don’t know which way to go / And I tried to run before but I’m not running anymore / ‘Cause I fought against it hard enough to know / That you love who you love who you love

“You can’t make yourself stop dreaming of who you’re dreaming of / If it’s who you love, then it’s who you love,” Mayer sings.

And Perry’s verse:

“My boy, he ain’t the one that I saw coming / And some have said his heart’s too hard to hold,” she sings. “And he takes a little time but you should see him when he shines / ‘Cause you never want to let the feeling go.”

Then they sing the chorus together and Perry says “You’re the one I love” complete with a genuine Katy Perry “love giggle” at the end.

“I think that’s just a love giggle,” she told Sirius XM Hits 1’s “Morning Mash Up” (via E!). “It’s like the ones that Mariah Carey had in 1990 and stuff like that. Yeah, I think I was going for that, I think I was just so happy. ... I love that song, you guys will hear it soon, all you listeners.”

The songstress said it’s “very humanizing, it’s like the real moment, you’re catching the real moment there.”

In May, Perry said in her July 2013 Vogue interview that she was “madly in love” with Mayer.

“I still am madly in love with him. All I can say about that relationship is that he’s got a beautiful mind. ... Beautiful mind, tortured soul. I do have to figure out why I am attracted to these broken birds.”

The pair was spotted holding hands leaving an event in June.

In early July, Mayer dedicated his song “A Face to Call Home” to Perry at a Milwaukee concert, telling the crowd she was “more incredible than I ever thought.”

The crooner, who had to undergo throat surgery in 2011 and rest his voice for 10 months, said that Perry would help him communicate.

“She would order for me ... and she would tell people, ‘It’s nice to meet you, he says’ ... When I was in Montana ... with bad service ... she was so patient as to continue to get to know me and love me,” he told the audience. “To Katy, who is my face to call home.”

Later that month, Perry spoke again about Mayer in Elle UK September issue.

“He pulled away,” Perry told Elle. “That was a big hello for me. I realized I could lose the person I loved and I had to deal with some things, issues I think a lot of women have.”

“You can be strong in one aspect of your life but submissive in another,” she added. “In relationships, it was hard for me to speak up and set boundaries. I think that a lot of that has to do with the fear of loss.”

On Monday, Perry released her latest single “Roar” from her third studio album “Prism,” which is set for release on Oct. 22.
