Lindsay Lohan to star opposite porn star James Deen

Lindsay Lohan has reportedly landed herself a new job — one that would place her in the company of a cult screenwriter, pedigreed director and a porn star.

Lohan will allegedly lead “The Canyons,” a dark tale of twentysomethings seeking sex and success in contemporary Los Angeles, according to a tweet from the film’s writer, Bret Easton Ellis. Paul Schrader, who wrote the Robert De Niro classic “Taxi Driver,” will direct.

“James Deen and Lindsay Lohan will star in [‘The Canyons’],” Ellis tweeted on Tuesday. Deen is an adult film actor with a largely female following and boy-next-door good looks.

The actress has yet to sign on the dotted line, but “Lindsay got the role, she has been cast, and now they’re just working out the details with the lawyers and writers to finalize the deal,” E! News reports, citing a Lohan source.

In true Lohan fashion, however, it may not be the easiest road to filming, which is set to begin in July after she wraps Lifetime TV’s Elizabeth Taylor drama “Liz & Dick.”

On Friday, Lohan’s rented Porsche collided with an 18-wheeler on the Pacific Coast Highway, sending her to the hospital and delaying her work on “Liz.” When questioned by police Lohan said she was in the passenger seat of the vehicle, according to TMZ.

Her assistant reportedly said Lohan was driving. If Lindsay was indeed behind the wheel, she’d be guilty of providing false information to an officer — which in turn could violate her probation, which makes jail time once again a possibility.

For developments in her creative endeavors, and real-life turmoil, we’ll have to stay tuned.
