Music video: The Divinyls - "I Touch Myself"

Bay’s softer side is revealed … when he manages to keep things sophisticated. Some of Bay’s other music clips, like Richard Marx’s “Angelia,” perhaps better lend themselves to this gallery, but what he does with the Divinyls is more subtle, framing the band and a bevy of models in soft soap-opera lighting. There’s a lot of posing and strutting around, but when all is said and done, there’s something unsettling lurking behind the smiles. No one really connects, and the whole thing feels a little bit lonely.
