Who will Apple bless more? Everyone from U2 to Mary J. Blige has deemed the iPod an important artistic cause to get behind, and the MP3 player became the center of 2007 marketing campaigns for new albums from Feist and Paul McCartney. While it might be unfair to pit an artist on her third album versus a Beatle, technology is, after all, supposed to be the great music business equalizer, and Feist does have a head start (four nominations to McCartneys three), so perhaps Apple can propel a former cult artist past a music legend.
