Mom wants ‘Breaking Bad’ toys off shelves; Bryan Cranston responds

A Florida mom is demanding Toys R Us stop selling “Breaking Bad” figures that come with perceived drug paraphernalia, and Walter White is not pleased.

Susan Schrivjer of Fort Myers posted a petition on change.org -- which currently has more than 3,800 signatures -- in an effort to get others to join her cause.

“…their decision to sell a Breaking Bad doll, complete with a detachable sack of cash and a bag of meth, alongside children’s toys is a dangerous deviation from their family friendly values,” Schrivjer says on the petition.

The popular and critically praised AMC show ended last summer, but just like the character he played, Bryan Cranston knows what is going on around him.

Attempts to reach Cranston for additional comment were unsuccessful.

The show about a cancer-stricken chemistry-teacher-turned-drug-lord working with his former student is not something that should be marketed to children through toys, Schrivjer says on the petition.

Schrivjer appeared on the "Today" show today to make her case.

In a statement to The Times, Toys R Us said: "We carry a variety of fictional character action figures, including those for our collector customers. The products you reference are carried in very limited quantities in the adult action figure area of our stores."

Attempts to reach Schrivjer for additional comment were unsuccessful.
