GQ X Northern Grade pop-up menswear market hits L.A. Oct. 4 and 5

Share

Men’s style bible GQ magazine and traveling menswear marketplace Northern Grade have joined forces on a two-day pop-up scheduled to take place in downtown L.A.’s Arts District Oct. 4 and 5.

It’s the second iteration of the pop-up partnership following the inaugural one, which unspooled in Brooklyn on March 22 and 23. And like that temporary menswear marketplace, this one is expected to showcase a curated collection of gear and goods for the guys with an emphasis on American and made-in-America brands.

A few of the noteworthy apparel and accessory brands in the mix include Chippewa Boots, Frank & Eileen, Miansai and local brands Apolis (based in L.A.) and Almond Surfboards & Design (Newport Beach).

While it’s the first time the collaborative effort has decamped to downtown Los Angeles, it’s not the first time Northern Grade’s particular brand of peripatetic pop-up has pulled into the city of Angels, having first touched down here in April 2013.

Like that event, the upcoming marketplace will be showcasing apparel, accessories and grooming gear in a laid-back atmosophere fueled by food, spirits and music.

GQ X Northern Grade Menswear Market, 836 Traction Ave., Los Angeles, 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Oct. 4 and 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Oct. 5.
