Lindy & Grundy kick back, Texas L.A. BBQ, Darren’s restaurant charity dinner

Lindy & Grundy butcher shop will participate in the Fairfax Summer Kick-back Sunday. The event will take place from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. and include music, BBQ, coffee and cocktails. The Lindy & Grundy team will serve hamburgers, bratwurst with grilled onions and mustard, adobo-marinated brick chicken, bacon-wrapped hot dogs, elotes and more. The 14th Annual Texas Exes L.A. BBQ is happening Aug. 2 at Camp Josepho in Pacific Palisades. From 1 p.m. to 5 p.m., there will be a Texas-style lodge with live music and plenty of BBQ. Tickets are $45 for members, $55 for nonmembers, $25 for kids ages 6 to 10 and kids 5 and younger are free. Tickets include chips and queso, Salt Lick BBQ (brisket, ribs, sausage and turkey), all the fixings, sodas, water, Shiner Bock and Blue Bell ice cream. All proceeds will benefit the Texas Exes Los Angeles Chapter Scholarship Fund. The BBQ will be served starting at 2 p.m. and continue until it’s gone. Darren’s restaurant in Manhattan Beach is hosting a re-opening benefit dinner on July 29 to raise money for No Limits for Deaf Children, an organization that supports children with hearing impairments. The dinner will begin at 7 p.m. and feature a four course prix-fixe menu that includes wine pairings. The event will also offer post-dinner entertainment.
