Woman tries to sell the ugliest wedding cake ever on eBay

Share

Your wedding cake is supposed to be the cake that trumps all other cakes. The one that would hog all the attention in a bakery case and the cake you’ll measure against all other cakes after. So what happens when it ends up being a disaster? You try to sell it on eBay.

One woman in the U.K. attempted to sell her ugly wedding cake on the online sale site. And when we say ugly, we mean it looks like three car tires were rolled in sewage, deflated, then stacked on top of each other on a cake stand.

She asked for $1.54 for the entire cake. Under the condition, she listed “used” and had this to say about the state of the cake:

“A few defects due to maker being unskilled. Uncut, along with large amount of awful cupcakes for free. No topper or decoration. Unusual design. Very heavy.”

It’s a wonder people didn’t start a bidding war over this gem. There were a total of 0 bids and the sale has ended.

The seller offered a picture of the ugly cake next to a picture of the one she requested, and explained she has flowers that fell off the ugly one if someone wants them. Oh, and there are no returns. In case you get the cake and it wasn’t what you were expecting.

She instructs buyers to only look at the cake as an inedible collectible and that she can’t be held responsible if someone eats any part of it. She also mentioned in the question and answer portion of the post that she didn’t expect to sell the cake.

If it makes her feel any better, the cake she requested was also pretty ugly. Note to self, don’t request a wedding cake that resembles stacked tires and expect anything less than awful.
