Yummy watercolors spring from bok choy and garlic in Sally Jacobs’ new exhibition

Share

Forget farm-to-table and imagine farm-to-canvas as a captivating new show of watercolor paintings and graphic drawings by Sally Jacobs demonstrates how farmers market fare can inspire more than just cooking.

In her latest exhibition at Tag Gallery, titled “Larger Than Life,” botanical artist Jacobs takes bok choy, dahlias, red garlic and other edibles and magnifies them in dramatic detail.

Replicating the items she finds at local farmers markets, Jacobs’ drawings reveal intricate patterns and details that may give viewers a new appreciation for what they find at their next neighborhood market.
