Content Not Available on Our Web Site

Share

While we have the majority of the newspaper content on our Web site, there are some features we do not have:

  • Some Large Advertisements (We have our own banner advertisers on the site and offer some newspaper advertisements.)

  • Small-Font Tables (Some of the data tables in the Business Section like CD interest rates or the Sports section are difficult to upload onto the site.)

  • Syndicated Content requiring electronic rights (Some syndicated content we do not have includes: comics including the "Love Is" cartoon; the Jumble puzzle which is on its' own Web site at Jumble.com, Dear Abby & Dear Ann Landers;the Bridge features; some Op-Ed columnists such as Pat Buchanan and Jesse Jackson; and other syndicated columnists like Art Buchwald. Note that all of the Times news stories are on the Web site except in extremely rare cases. Some columnists may have their own Web sites.)

  • Sunday Newspaper Crossword by Sylvia Burstyn and Barry Tunick (We have crossword puzzles online, in special PDF and interactive software that allows you to download and play the puzzle every day for free, but the Sunday puzzle isdifferent from that in the paper and comes from the Los Angeles TimesSyndicate.)

  • Some Photos (We are not able to put all photos on the site at this time, but plan to offer more in the future.)

On the reverse side of this issue, the Web site does have a lot of free material that is not in the paper including multimedia offerings, calendarlive.com searchable restaurants and entertainment listings, road traffic reports, and searchable classifieds.
