No. 1 doubles Jeremiah Abrigo and Kwang Seo swept, 6-1, 6-4, and No. 3 doubles Nick Dio and Gianne Nalangan swept, 6-2, 6-4, for host Monroe (3-2, 3-0). No. 1 single Kostya Omelyanchuk swept, 6-1, 6-1, and No. 2 single Max Bohyn swept, 6-0, 6-0, for Kennedy (1-5, 1-2).

No. 1 Joseph Chan won in singles, 6-1, 6-0, and No. 2 Daniel Sagal won, 6-2, 6-1, to lead host Taft (5-2, 3-1).

Ur Yu won at No. 1 singles, 0-6, 6-0, 6-4, and Kiyoshi Shishido and Allan Wong won at No. 1 doubles, 6-3, 6-7 (3), 6-1 to lead host Venice (6-1, 4-0).

Marcus Alexander swept, 6-0, 6-0, in singles and Jackie Poon and Jeremy Vargas swept, 6-0, 6-0, in doubles for Westchester (4-3, 2-2), which lost just 11 games in the match.

Bryan Rodriguez won at No. 3 singles, 6-0, 6-0, to lead visiting Eagle Rock (4-2, 3-0) over Belmont (1-2 in league). Rodriguez did not lose a single point in the second set.

SUNSET SIX LEAGUE

North Hollywood 6, Verdugo Hills 1
Ray Tsao of host North Hollywood (5-1, 2-0) defeated Brian Cho, 6-0, 6-0, at No. 2 singles.

WESTERN LEAGUE

Palisades 7, L.A. Hamilton 0
Palisades (4-2, 3-0) only lost six games in the match.

WEST VALLEY LEAGUE

Cleveland 4, Granada Hills 3
Cleveland’s Jared Drucker, Andrew Ong, Calvin Chan and Lyle Drucker each won their matches with two-set sweeps, with freshman No. 4 player Lyle Drucker clinching the Cavaliers (4-2, 1-2) victory over visiting Granada Hills (5-1, 2-1) with a 6-0, 6-4 decision over Vinny Amore.Chan, Cleveland’s No. 3 player, topped the Highlanders’ Aram Dautyas, 7-6 (2), 6-1.Granada Hills, a three-time City Section runner-up from 2001-03, was a City Championship semifinalist last season. Cleveland won the City Invitational final last year.

WESTERN LEAGUE

Venice 4, Westchester 3
No. 2 singles Marcus Alexander won, 7-6, 2-6, 7-6 and No. 1 doubles Geoffrey Lee and Matt Smith and No. 2 doubles James Vargas and Jeremy Vargas each swept their matches for host Westchester (3-3, 1-2). Venice improved to 3-0 in league.
