Man hurt in scuffle with bear in Sierra Madre
A bear that scuffled with a dog and its owner in Sierra Madre was tranquilized Monday afternoon, as was her cub.
The dog’s owner suffered minor injuries during the incident with the adult bear and declined to be taken to a hospital. The dog’s condition wasn’t immediately clear.
State wildlife officials will conduct an investigation before deciding what to do with the bears.
