Man found shot to death on street in Long Beach
Long Beach homicide detectives are investigating the shooting of a man found dead on a street early Sunday, police said.
Responding to a report of gunshots, police discovered the body in the 1400 block of Junipero Avenue.
“He was dead at the scene when our officers arrived,” Long Beach Police Department spokesman Sgt. David Marander said.
The victim was identified as 39-year-old Enrique Casique. He had been shot in the head, according to Lt. Joe Bale of the L.A. County coroner’s office.
