“Saturday Night Live” alum Chris Kattan was arrested early Monday on suspicion of driving under the influence after crossing over orange safety cones and crashing into the back of a state Department of Transportation vehicle in Encino, authorities said.

Caltrans crews were working on a guardrail on the right shoulder of the westbound 101 Freeway near Balboa Boulevard and had one lane closed using orange cones, flashing arrows and sign boards to warn motorists, said California Highway Patrol Officer Monica Posada.

Just before 2 a.m., Kattan’s 2011 Mercedes came near the work crew, “crossed the cone pattern and struck the rear of a DOT vehicle within the closure,” Posada said.

No one was injured in the crash.

Before the wreck, authorities had received an emergency call about Kattan’s Mercedes.

“The 911 caller reported that the Mercedes was weaving all over the roadway at slow speeds,” Posada said.

Kattan, 43, was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence.
