Getting that perfect shot can usually take a few tries, but sometimes, it’s the first one that’s really the best.
Last month after a rainy day, My Le headed to Laguna Beach to shoot photos of the smoky clouds. He stayed there a while to avoid rush-hour traffic, and to his surprise, he heard thunder. Then came the lights.
“I didn’t expect there to be a lightning show at all,” he said.
After shooting a 30-second exposure, he looked at his camera and saw that he had captured lightning bolts -- his first time ever doing so.
“I was happy as a kid in a candy store,” he said.
