Princess Grace dies

Grace Kelly, an American actress who married Rainier III, Prince of Monaco, and became European royalty, died on Sept. 14,1982, at age 52 after suffering a stroke and crashing her car. Kelly appeared in many films in the 1950s, including Alfred Hitchcock's "Dial M for Murder" and "Rear Window." She won an Academy Award for her role in "The Country Girl" in 1954. She quit acting at 26 when she married Prince Rainier.
