JERUSALEM -- Four Israeli soldiers were injured early Wednesday by an explosion along the country’s northern border, according to Israeli military officials.

Lebanese media reported that an Israeli patrol vehicle had crossed into Lebanon when it was struck by an unknown explosive device.

The Lebanese army said in a statement that the Israeli forces crossed nearly 400 yards inside Lebanon to the area of Labbouneh near the coastal town of Naqour, according to the Associated Press. The Lebanese army called the incident “a new violation of Lebanese sovereignty.”
