A Boca Raton police officer just can’t let it go.

Officer Jimmy Jalil posted a video of himself lip syncing to “In Summer” from the Disney animated movie “Frozen.” And the video has become a social media sensation.

“When you’ve been challenged to a lip sync battle, it’s summer and you’ve seen Frozen one too many times…’’ posted Jalil, a father of three on the department’s Twitter and Facebook pages. Police and fire departments around the country have been challenging one another to lip sync battles this week. In the 2013 movie, Olaf the snowman sings and dances to what he loves about summer.

On social media, people applauded Jalil’s mad lip syncing skills.

Comments from “Bravo” and “Love It” to “Brilliant” and “Great job’’ filled the police department’s Facebook page where the post has been shared more than 600 times and the video has been viewed more than 30,000 times. One person also wrote, “Boca did it’s thing. The song fits right in with this Florida heat.”

Jalil has been with Boca Raton police since 2005. In December 2010, he was credited for saving a 22-year-old woman from a burning car. The following March, he was named the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Fund Officer of the Month for that act.
