Pitbull to launch motivational tour with Tony Robbins
Miami rapper Pitbull wants to inspire people.
So he’s launching a motivational tour in 2019 with one of his heroes, Tony Robbins, according to Billboard.com.
Pitbull made the announcement this week at the Billboard Latin Music Conference in Las Vegas.
While growing up in Miami, the Cuban-American entertainer learned to recite the poems of the late Cuban poet Jose Marti and he listened to Robbins’ tapes.
The life coach and author was in attendance in 2016 when Pitbull received a star on the famous Hollywood Walk of Fame in Los Angeles. Pitbull’s star, which was No. 2,584, was placed in the Celia Cruz Square of the walk.
“What it means is something for our culture, our community, our people, that I truly embody the American dream,’’ Pitbull told the Sun Sentinel at the time.
Details about the tour stops and ticket costs have not yet been released.
Mr. 305 has several projects in the works in his hometown. He’s working on a new dance single “Move to Miami’’ with fellow Miami Latin pop star Enrique Iglesias. The pair reportedly shot the music video last month in Wynwood.
Additionally, this summer, Pitbull plans to open a two-level restaurant iLov305 inside the Bel-Air Hotel at 1060 Ocean Dr.
“I want everyone to feel, see, share the same passion and love I have for Miami,” he said in a statement. “iLov305 will have the most energy that Ocean Drive has ever seen, Dale!”
