Florida man says his 20-foot python Ginormica could grow to world-record size

Ginormica, the 20-foot python, crawls toward the record size

There’s a Florida snake that could be larger than any other, according to an article by nwfdailynews.com, a news site dedicated Florida’s panhandle.

Ginormica measures in at 20 feet long, weighs 200 pounds and is the biggest snake in the Emerald Coast Zoo, said Rick de Ridder, the zoo’s co-owner.

Possibly, Ginormica is the largest snake in Florida, Ridder, a.k.a. the Reptile Guy, told nwfdailynews.com.

Ridder believes that his snake might be able to grow larger than the longest snake on record, Medusa at 25 feet, according to Guinness World Records.

Patrons will be able to see Ginormica and other reptiles on July 20 celebration of National Snake Day, according to Emerald Coast Zoo.
