‘Jersey Shore’ star Ronnie Ortiz-Magro’s ex told cops he hit her before her domestic battery arrest
The ex-girlfriend of “Jersey Shore” star Ronnie Ortiz-Magro told police the reality star was the one whose fists had gone flying just before she was arrested for domestic battery.
Jen Harley, 31, told responding officers Sunday night in Las Vegas that Ortiz-Magro had struck her multiple times as the two headed home from a barbecue with their 3-month-old daughter in the back seat, according to documents obtained by TMZ.
But it was Harley who wound up cuffed after cops saw Ortiz-Magro had cuts to his mouth and arms as well as a swath of road rash.
The reality star reportedly alleged that Harley had struck him in the face with her fist between two and five times.
She was arrested and charged with one count of misdemeanor domestic battery after cops agreed that though mutual battery did occur, she was the primary aggressor, according to TMZ.
A concerned passerby phoned police after witnessing the domestic dispute.
Harley allegedly told cops that Ortiz-Magro became violent after reaching for the steering wheel as she drove them home from the get-together, and that she pulled over to the side of the road to flag down help.
A source previously told People, however, that it was Ortiz-Magro who insisted she hit the brakes — and that she only slowed down after hitting the median and popping a tire.
“He begged to get out and opened the door but she continued to pull away while he was getting out and it tore up his entire arm,” the source said. “It’s a mess from road rash and from being dragged along the street as he was caught in the belt.”
Harley has since posted bond and is no longer in custody.
She and the fist-pumping MTV star, 32, reportedly split last month after a series of social media outbursts that included a violent Instagram Live video and a crude Instagram rant in which Ortiz-Magro labeled her a “hoe” and she accused him of being a drug addict.
