In the days following Donald Trump’s election, a slew of letters sent to mosques throughout California praised President-elect Trump and denounced Islam. The letters arrived in the midst of ongoing anti-Muslim rhetoric in connection with speculation over the possibility of a ban on Muslim immigration under a Trump administration. We asked Muslim Americans to tell us what Trump’s forthcoming presidency means to them, and what they want people to know about their religion and citizenship. Here’s what they said.
