Holiday party to benefit Descanso Gardens

LA CANADA FLINTRIDGE -- A preview party of the 1999 Holiday Festival

will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday, Dec. 3, at Descanso Gardens, 1418

Descanso Drive, La Canada Flintridge.

Sponsored by the Descanso Gardens Guild, proceeds from the event

benefit the gardens. The cost is $27.50 per person with advance

reservations and $32 at the door. The reservation deadline is Nov. 30.

The evening will preview “Holiday on Parade,” the Christmas Festival

opening to the public on Dec. 4 and featuring floral displays, trimmed

Christmas trees, rides on a miniature train, an art show and seasonal

musical entertainment.

Guests will feast on pork loin, beef sirloin, salads and caramel flan.
