Faculty, alumni combine talents in dance

GLENDALE -- Ballet, jazz, modern and Latin dance are among the

features in the annual Faculty/Alumni Dance Production at 8 p.m. Dec. 3

and 4 and at 2 p.m. on Dec. 5 in the Mainstage Auditorium, Glendale

Community College, 1500 N. Verdugo Road.

All the numbers in the show are choreographed and performed by dance

alumni, faculty and students. The production is directed by Professor

Lynn McMurrey of Tujunga.

Alumni choreographers, Danielle and Alissa Dowdy of Burbank, start

things off with “Footloose” and Rena Morizono, Akimi Ito, and Debbie John

of Glendale contribute three pieces titled “ Arashi-The Storm”, “Le

Corsaire”, and “Let’s Get Loud,” respectively.

Student dancers from Glendale include Anoush Alexanian, Amanda Bailey,

Polin Beckner, Deveron Dee, Krista Hager, Saori Hiraoka, Gregory Lee,

Melissa Moradi, Melineh Petrousian, Nha Trang Phan, Margarit Semerjian,

Yuka Wakamatsu, Rumiko Wakita, and Koichi Watanabe.

Admission is free on a first-come, first-served basis. Children under
