The following incidents were taken from police reports.
MAGNOLIA PARK
3400 block of West Magnolia Boulevard: A 50-year-old Burbank woman
complained of pain to her leg and hip after a car backed into her on
Friday at 5:30 p.m., police said. The woman told police she yelled to the
driver that she was hit. The driver acknowledged the woman but then drove
off, police said. Officers were unable to locate the driver. The woman
was not hospitalized.
SOUTH SAN FERNANDO DISTRICT
200 block of West Elm Avenue: An 18-year-old Burbank man was arrested
on suspicion of possession of dangerous drugs Friday at 9 p.m. Gang unit
officers reported the man, a suspected gang member who was with two
others, threw something on the ground when they approached him in an
alley. The officers discovered it was methamphetamine wrapped in paper,
police said. The two other gang members, boys ages 16 and 17, were taken
into custody for violation of probation and sent to a juvenile hall,
police said.
300 block of East Providencia Avenue: A 48-year-old Burbank woman had
her purse snatched as she was standing outside her apartment Sunday at
10:15 a.m. The woman told police that a man came up behind her, pushed
her to the ground and ran off with her purse. Police did not find the
suspect.
BURBANK VILLAGE
100 block of North First Street: A 16-year-old San Fernando boy was
arrested on suspicion of battery against a public transit employee Friday
at 9:10 p.m. The boy allegedly pushed a Metropolitan Transit Authority
employee who had placed him under citizen’s arrest for vandalism. The
employee told police the boy was writing on the bus’ window with a
marker, which was later recovered.
