BURBANK -- It’s that time of year again.

The Burbank Civic Pride Committee is inviting residents to sign up for

the city’s annual holiday outdoor decorating contest.

This year, entries will be judged in three categories: residential,

commercial and youth (age 16 and under), city officials said.

“We encourage everyone who puts up outdoor decorations to enter,” said

Ellie Myer, the chairwoman of the Civic Pride Committee.

Winners of the contest will be recognized at the Dec. 21 Burbank City

Council meeting.

To enter the contest, pick up an application at any city library or

the city clerk’s office at City Hall or fill a blank sheet of paper with

the entrant’s name, address, phone number and category. All entries

should be sent to Civic Pride, Public Information Office, Burbank City

Hall, 275 E. Olive Ave., Burbank, CA 91502.

The deadline for entries is 5 p.m. Dec. 14. The committee will conduct

the judging Dec. 16.
