Toy Express rolling into town

TRANSPORTATION CENTER -- Santa and his elves will be on hand Wednesday
at the Burbank train station to help light the Metrolink’s Holiday Toy
Express Train.
The event is a kickoff for the train, which will make stops at 38 city
stations throughout the Southland beginning Friday.
Santa and his friends will be aboard the train, which is adorned with
30,000 colorful lights,. A 15-minute stage show is featured at each stop.
Burbank firefighters will also be present both nights to collect toys
for the Spark of Love toy drive. Those attending are encouraged to bring
new, unwrapped toys for the event.
For those who can’t make it to the event, toy donations can be made at
any Burbank fire station.
The train will be in Burbank at the Regional Intermodal Transportation
Center Wednesday at 7:10 p.m. and Friday at 7:30 p.m. The station is at
201 N. First St.
