The following incidents were taken from police reports.


1500 block of West Verdugo Avenue: A 12-year-old Burbank girl reported

that a man in a white pickup truck followed her at 5 p.m. Nov. 24. The


girl was walking home when the man drove up and motioned for her to come

over to the truck, police said. When she refused, the man continued to

drive next to her, honking his horn and waving. The girl ran to a

friend’s house and called police.



100 block of North San Fernando Boulevard: A 35-year-old Burbank man

was arrested on suspicion of robbery at 12:20 a.m. Thursday. The man

allegedly stole a purse from a 30-year-old Glendale woman inside Burbank

Bar and Grill. The woman’s brothers saw the man take the purse and

confronted him, police said. The suspect was punched by one of the

brothers when he refused to give them the purse and allegedly tried to

hit them.


HILLSIDE DISTRICT 5500 block of South Glenoaks Boulevard: A Burbank

woman reported her wallet containing $14 was stolen at 3:10 Friday. The

woman told police an man -- who had struck up a conversation with the her

outside a doughnut shop -- took the wallet when she set it down beside

her. The man was not found.

600 block of East Palm Avenue: A 56-year-old Burbank man was arrested

on suspicion of child annoying at 10:40 a.m. Friday. The man allegedly

stood outside a 13-year-old girl’s apartment and offered her drugs and


alcohol and asked her to come to his apartment.


Intersection of Buena Vista Street and San Fernando Boulevard: A

36-year-old Garden Grove man was arrested on suspicion of possession of

drug paraphernalia at 3:10 Friday. The man was stopped for allegedly

driving a car that had not been registered since 1998 but had 1999 tags.

While impounding the car, officers said they found a glass cocaine pipe



1500 block of South California Street: A 6-year-old Burbank boy was

injured when he was hit by a car driven by an 83-year-old Burbank man

Sunday at 2:05 p.m., police said. The boy was following another boy on

his bicycle when they crossed the street in front of the car, police

said. The boy was treated by paramedics at the scene for cuts to his

ankle, calf and upper leg. Police believe the boys did not look for

traffic before they rode across the intersection. The man was not cited.


Intersection of Buena Vista Street and West Olive Avenue: A

20-year-old Van Nuys man was arrested on suspicion of possession of

methamphetamine at noon Friday. The man allegedly had two marijuana pipes

in his jacket as well as a small container that had plastic bags with
