Congratulations

Lisa Dance, a 1995 graduate of John Burroughs High School in Burbank,

has received a bachelor’s degree in ornamental horticulture from Cal-Poly

San Luis Obispo. She is also a member of her department’s honor society.

Ornamental horticulture is concerned with developing new plants for

decoration, rather than to eat. It is usually associated with large,

public gardens with a lot of landscaping.

Family and friends helped Lisa celebrate at a party given by her

parents. She will continue to make her home in San Luis Obispo.

Shant R. Petrossian of Glendale received a master’s degree in

broadcast journalism from Boston University this winter.

Kelly Anne Broderson of Tujunga graduated from California Lutheran

University in December.
