Holocaust memorial ceremony to be held Tuesday

BURBANK -- As part of Burbank Human Relations Council 14th annual
“Days of Remembrance,” a Holocaust presentation will be held at Tuesday’s
City Council meeting, followed by a memorial ceremony at Temple Emanu El.
The remembrance will begin with a 7 p.m. presentation at the council
meeting followed by a ceremony at 7:45 p.m. at Temple Emanu El, 1302 N.
Glenoaks Blvd.
Daisy Miller, holocaust survivor and director for foundation relations
for Survivors of the Shoah Visual History Foundation, will speak at the
ceremony.
Holocaust survivors will participate in a candle-lighting ceremony in
memory of the millions of Jews who died in the Holocaust. In addition, a
candle will be lit in memory of all others who have been killed
throughout the world in genocides.
