THE REV. C.E. BALDWIN
Rev. C.E. Baldwin, 90, died Jan. 8, 2003, in Seal Beach.
A longtime resident of Burbank, he served at the Burbank
Foursquare Church for 60 years.
Rev. Baldwin is survived by his wife, Lillian Grunewald; daughter,
Gadelle Junge; two grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
The visitation is at 10 a.m. Friday at the church, 269 E.
Providencia Ave. The funeral service follows at 11 a.m. A graveside
committal is at 3 p.m. at Forest Lawn Hollywood Hills.
Eckerman-Heisman Funeral Service is handling arrangements.
VICTOR ISAAC CODRON
Victor Isaac Codron, 94, died Jan. 8, 2002, in Burbank.
He was a longtime resident of Burbank who was an Army veteran of
World War II.
Mr. Codron is survived by his wife, Claire; daughters, Betty Sue
Karp and Sara Renee Kolbauer; sons, Daniel and Jack Ray; and three
granddaughters.
Funeral services were Friday at the Home of Peace Memorial Park.
ELEANOR E. ESCEN
Eleanor E. Escen, 83, died Jan. 10, 2003.
Born Feb. 14, 1919, in Minneapolis, she was a Burbank resident for
44 years.
Mrs. Escen is survived by her husband, Donald; sons, Dale and
Dean; and three grandchildren.
Funeral services were private.
PHYLLIS ECKER-HAMILTON
Phyllis Ecker-Hamilton, 87, died Jan. 10, 2003, in Burbank.
Born Aug. 11, 1915, in Chicago, she was a 17-year resident of
Burbank. She worked as a chairwoman of her son’s media post-
production company, SoundStorm, and an apartment landlord in Culver
City.
Mrs. Ecker-Hamilton is survived by her son, Gordon Ecker;
daughter, Laurie Turn; two grandchildren; and two
great-grandchildren.
A memorial service is at 1 p.m. Thursday at the Eckerman-Heisman
Funeral Service Chapel, 333 E. Magnolia Blvd.

CHARLES EDWIN LEVANDOFSKY
Charles Edwin Levandofsky, 86, died Jan. 9, 2003.
Born July 5, 1916, in Belleville, Kan., he was a Burbank resident
for 64 years and worked as an aircraft planner and designer for 41
years.
Mr. Levandofsky is survived by his wife, Lena.
A funeral Mass was Monday at St. Finbar Catholic Church. The
interment following the service was at the San Fernando Mission
Cemetery.
RAY DELMAR MARTIN
Ray Delmar Martin, 84, died Jan. 3, 2003, in Burbank.
Born April 26, 1918, in Perryopolis, Penn., he was a 63-year
resident of Burbank who first worked as a tool and die maker at
Lockheed Corp. and then as a general contractor throughout the San
Fernando Valley.
He was a past master of the Van Nuys Masons, Lodge 450, past
commander of the Valley Commandery and a patrolman for the Al
Malaikah Shriners.
Mr. Martin is survived by his daughters, Sharon Shultz, Pamela
LaPask, Sandy Martin and Patricia Martin; seven grandchildren; and
three great-grandchildren.
Funeral services, given by the Masons at Hollywood Hills, Forest
Lawn, were Thursday
CLARE E. WOLFE
Clare E. Wolfe, 92, died Dec. 25, 2002, in Burbank.
Born Jan. 27, 1910, in Morhead, Minn., he was a 53-year Burbank
resident who worked as an aircraft mechanic for Airmotive Carburetor
Co.
Mr. Wolfe is survived by his “adopted” family, Catheryn Kellogg
and Elena Hubbell.
A memorial service is at 11 a.m. Saturday at Pierce Bros.
