TIMOTHY HUGH ALLEN

Timothy Hugh Allen, 37, died Jan. 4, 2003, in Guam.

Born July 12, 1965, in Los Angeles, he was raised in Burbank. He

worked as a scuba- diving instructor and underwater photographer.

Mr. Allen is survived by his daughter, Katherine Kai; mother,

Katherine Hentz Allen; father, Hugh; and sister, Patricia.

As requested, friends and family scattered his ashes in the waters

off Guam.

A memorial service was Friday at Forest Lawn, Glendale.

Rev. Ronald J. Degges of the Little White Chapel Christian Church

officiated.

MARY ‘FRANKIE’ EDSON

Mary “Frankie” Edson, 81, died Feb. 18, 2003, in Yucaipa.

Born June 25, 1921, in Woodward County, Okla., she was a 40-year

resident of Burbank. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of

Yucaipa.

Mrs. Edson is survived by her husband, Gaines; daughter, Marsha

Wilson; son, Michael; four grandchildren; and two

great-grandchildren.

The memorial service is at noon today at the First Baptist Church,

34784 Yucaipa Blvd. A private family burial is at Desert Lawn

Cemetery.

CLAUDE F. HOARD

Claude F. Hoard, 69, died Feb. 18, 2003, in Burbank.

Born July, 23, 1933, in Pasadena, he was a 34-year Burbank

resident. He worked as a purchasing agent for MetroLink and served in

the armed forces during the Korean War.

Mr. Hoard is survived by his wife, Shirley; son, Kevin; and a

grandson.

Family services are private.

Keifer & Eyerick Mortuary is in charge of direction.

ROBERT LEE RADCLIFFE

Robert Lee Radcliffe, 69, died Jan. 16, 2003, in Campo.

Born March 8, 1933, in Pomona, he grew up in Burbank and graduated

from Burbank High School. He worked as a businessman and a movie-set

painter.

Mr. Radcliffe is survived by his daughters, Donna Spears and Karen

Cumming; and four grandchildren.

A memorial service is at 1 p.m. March 21 at the National Cemetery

in Westwood.

The North County Cremation service of San Marcos is in charge of

direction.

FLORENCE DOROTHY REED

Florence Dorothy Reed, 85, died Feb. 12, 2003.

Born June 13, 1917, she was a 59-year Burbank resident.

Mrs. Reed is survived by her sons, William and Richard, and four

grandchildren.

The burial Mass was Tuesday at St. John Eudes Church in

Chatsworth.

The Valley Funeral Home was in charge of direction.

JUAN RIOJAS

Juan Riojas, 71, died Feb. 15, 2003, in Los Angeles.

Born March 30, 1931, in Asherton, Texas, he was a resident of

Burbank since 1992. He was a veteran of the Army, and a member of the

Disabled American Veterans and American Assn. of Retired Persons. Mr.

Riojas is survived by his wife, Marilyn; daughter, Estelita; and

sons, Juan, Felipe and Tomas.

A private memorial Mass was Feb. 15 at St. Dominic Catholic Church

in Eagle Rock. An additional memorial service was Wednesday at the

First Church of God in St. John’s, Mich.

The cremation arrangements were provided by the Alpha Society.

EDWARD B. SCOTT

Edward B. Scott, 79, died Feb. 15, 2003, in Los Angeles.

Born Sept. 12, 1923, in Saginaw, Mich., he was a longtime Burbank

resident who worked as a pediatric anesthesiologist at the Children’s

Hospital in Los Angeles. He was also an ensign in the Navy during

World War II.

He was the past president of the California League of

Anesthesiologists and member of several anesthesia organizations.

Dr. Scott is survived by his wife, Eve; sons, Gary, Edward and

Sanford; daughters, Dedra Cunningham, Alison Reardon, Lisa Immerwahr,

Lori Henneman and Marsha Unruh; and 24 grandchildren.

Funeral services are at 11 a.m. today at the Church of Jesus

Christ of Latter-Day Saints, 136 Sunset Canyon Drive. The private

interment is at Forest Lawn, Hollywood Hills.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Children’s Hospital

Los Angeles Foun- dation, 4650 Sunset Blvd., Mail Stop 24, Los

direction.
