Alvord expected to officially become city manager Tuesday
Interim City Manager Mary Alvord is expected to be sworn in as city
manager at Tuesday’s City Council meeting.
She would replace former City Manager Bud Ovrom, who began work
March 1 as the head of the Los Angeles Community Redevelopment
Agency.
Alvord’s career with Burbank began 33 years ago. She started as a
junior recreation leader and became assistant city manager April
2000.
If the terms of her contract are approved by the council, her
salary will be $12,650 per month.
The meeting is at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday in the Council Chamber, City
Hall, at 275 E. Olive Ave.
